St. Joseph’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Thuravoor, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Kerala was established in 1980 by late Rev Fr. Cyriac Mannassery under the patronage of His Eminence late Joseph Cardinal Parecattil. The ITI is managed by the director Board under the patronage of Eranakulam-Angamaly Arch Diocese. It aims at imparting skills both technical and life to unemployed youth of this industrially backward area of the state, through theoretical and practical training organized according to the schemes of the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of the Government of India. A pass in the All India Test does entitle the trainee to the National Trade Certificate.
The ITI is managed by the Director Board under the patronage of Eranakulam-Angamaly Arch Diocese. Major archbishop Cardinal Mar George Alencherry is the patron and bisop Sebastian Adayantharath is the president of the trust.
